Attendance Officer

WORKING PATTERN:   37 Hours per week TERM TIME ONLY + 10 days

CONTRACT TYPE:        Permanent Position

SALARY:                      Grade F pt 17 – 23   £30,060 - £33,366 full time all year. Actual Salary   approximately £26,392- £29,295

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate to monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, working closely with pupils, staff, parents and carers to reduce levels of absence, and act appropriately when persistent absence becomes a safeguarding issue. You will ensure daily attendance registers are accurate and complete, follow up with staff members about any incomplete data and initiate and oversee the administration of absence procedures, for example letters home, attendance clinics and engagement with local authorities/other external agencies and partners. You will produce and interpret attendance reports for school leaders, identifying key statistics, reasons for absence and any patterns of concern. 

You will have experience working in a school environment or other educational setting and  experience identifying interventions to raise attendance of pupils.  You will have experience analysing data and producing reports and identifying key insights.  You will be organized, proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build good relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified candidate to provide a comprehensive range of high-quality administrative support within the busy SEND Department to ensure that all aspects of the day to day activities operate efficiently and effectively.  You will manage the development of good administrative practice within the Curriculum Hub including maintaining and developing procedures, records and systems.

You will provide administration support including creating documents and reports using the full range of Microsoft Office programmes available, filing, photocopying and taking minutes of meetings and deal with general enquiries from parents, external organisations and supporters received by telephone, virtual, email and face to face.

You will have experience of working in a school environment or other educational setting and experience of working collaboratively with colleagues. You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills, be organised, proactive and self-motivated, have the ability to use IT systems and be able to create good relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

INTERVIEW DATE:         W/C 2nd December 2024

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified candidate to manage the day to day running of the library and oversee its development as a key component in the school’s teaching and learning environment.  Duties will include managing the issuing and returning of the library stock, providing support for cataloguing of new material to the library collection, managing the library management system (Access it) and supporting its use, helping library users find material to meet their needs and encouraging pupils and staff in using the library through supporting a range of library-based activities.

You will have experience of working within an educational/library environment, organised and efficient administration and IT skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships with pupils and other adults and the ability to work unsupervised, use your own initiative and make appropriate decisions.
