GIORNATA DELLA CULTURA
Martedì 19 luglio 2022, gli alunni e il personale di Smithills hanno avuto la possibilità di indossare qualcosa di diverso dalle loro solite uniformi per la scuola. Doveva essere adatto per la scuola, tuttavia, doveva riflettere chi sono veramente. Se una persona voleva rappresentare etnia, cultura, background o avere un aspetto del proprio carattere che desiderava condividere con tutti, questo era il giorno per dire QUESTO SONO ME!
Durante il giorno, lo staff ha anche lezioni a tema sull'identità.
La giornata è nata come risposta a ciò che i nostri alunni in molti gruppi di anni hanno chiesto. È uno sviluppo della nostra risposta all'odio giorno in questo periodo dell'anno scorso.

On the visit to Smithills today, Oli said, “I think there was a bit of apprehension about this man standing in front of us telling us what we need to do to become a referee, but once the interactions started I think it was fantastic. The kids were engaging in decisions, I put them under a bit of pressure with regards to why they chose that outcome and I thought the kids were great with their responses”.
