સંસ્કૃતિ દિવસ
મંગળવાર 19મી જુલાઈ 2022 ના રોજ, સ્મિથિલ્સના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને સ્ટાફ પાસે શાળા માટે તેમના સામાન્ય ગણવેશ સિવાય બીજું કંઈક પહેરવાનો વિકલ્પ હતો. તે શાળા માટે યોગ્ય હોવું જરૂરી હતું, જો કે, તેઓ ખરેખર કોણ છે તે પ્રતિબિંબિત કરવા માટે જરૂરી હતું. જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ વંશીયતા, સંસ્કૃતિ, પૃષ્ઠભૂમિનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરવા માંગતી હોય અથવા તેના પાત્રનું કોઈ પાસું હોય કે જે તે દરેક સાથે શેર કરવા માંગતી હોય, તો આ કહેવાનો દિવસ હતો, આ હું છું!

ઘણા વર્ષોના જૂથોમાં અમારા વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ જે માંગ્યું તેના પ્રતિભાવ તરીકે આ દિવસ આવ્યો.

On the visit to Smithills today, Oli said, “I think there was a bit of apprehension about this man standing in front of us telling us what we need to do to become a referee, but once the interactions started I think it was fantastic. The kids were engaging in decisions, I put them under a bit of pressure with regards to why they chose that outcome and I thought the kids were great with their responses”.
