DÍA DE LA CULTURA
El martes 19 de julio de 2022, los alumnos y el personal de Smithills tuvieron la opción de usar algo diferente a sus uniformes habituales para la escuela. Tenía que ser adecuado para la escuela, sin embargo, necesitaba reflejar quiénes son realmente. Si una persona quería representar su etnia, cultura, antecedentes o tener un aspecto de su carácter que deseaba compartir con todos, este era el día para decir: ¡ESTE SOY YO!
Durante el día, el personal también impartió lecciones temáticas sobre la identidad.
El día surgió como respuesta a lo que pidieron nuestros alumnos de muchos años. Es un desarrollo de nuestra respuesta al día del odio esta vez el año pasado.

On the visit to Smithills today, Oli said, “I think there was a bit of apprehension about this man standing in front of us telling us what we need to do to become a referee, but once the interactions started I think it was fantastic. The kids were engaging in decisions, I put them under a bit of pressure with regards to why they chose that outcome and I thought the kids were great with their responses”.
