How to Enrol at Smithills School

 

 

Year 6 Parents

 

Applications for year 6 parents to apply for secondary school 2025 open again on the 1st September 2024. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2024.

 

The Council does not send out paper forms or booklets to parents.

 

Parents need to apply online: Secondary school places – Bolton Council

 

 

Parents with children in Years 7-11

 

All pupils of transfer age who live in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton may apply to Smithills School. Parents who are considering sending their chid to the school are most welcome to visit at a time suitable to them. Please telephone 01204 842 382 to arrange an appointment. 

 

Bolton Council no longer accepts written application for school places. You will need to complete an online application on their website:

Once you have completed the online application they will send you a notification via email that an offer of a school place as been made.
