Smithills School (the lead Secondary School for the Bolton Enthuse Partnership) hosted a STEM Enrichment Day for thirteen Bolton primary schools on Tuesday 9th July. Enthuse Partnerships aim to empower schools and colleges to share practice and work collaboratively, addressing underachievement in STEM subjects, inspiring excellence in the STEM curriculum, and raising aspirations for STEM careers and further study.

Smithills School pupils participated in a dance workshop provided by the Lowry Centre for Advanced Training in Dance on Wednesday 15th May. Watch the highlights here.

Our Food Technology teachers have prepared this quick 2-minute demonstration, showing pupils how to prepare Chicken Sliders.

During this special event for World Book Day 2024, we invited 2 poets into Smithills to work with our pupils on their creative writing skills. Cherelle Anne is a poet and multi-disciplinary artist from Manchester. Caesar is a spoken word artist from Bolton. We thank both Cherelle Anne and Caesar for taking the time to work with our pupils today.
