HIJABS AND TOPIS

For religious reasons some students may wish to wear either a headscarf (hijab) or topi. This must be plain black.

JEWELLERY

The only acceptable items of jewellery are a wristwatch and a small single pair of studs worn in the ears, rings or other piercings are NOT acceptable for health and safety reasons and students will be required to remove them.

MAKE-UP

Make-up is not permitted in school. Any student wearing make-up will be asked to remove it.

Hairstyles should be smart and sensible. Shaved heads (apart from those boys returning from a pilgrimage to Mecca) or other extreme styles are NOT accepted in school.

A sturdy bag is needed every day to carry equipment and is an essential part of our uniform.

We ask parents NOT to send students to school in expensive designer-type coats or shoes. We cannot be held responsible for any loss and would advise parents to check the conditions of their own household insurance.

We take pride in the image of our school within the community and therefore it is vitally important that all students wear their uniform correctly to and from school. School Governors ask parents to support our efforts to promote a positive and disciplined image in the community.
