At Smithills School Psychology GCSE is an option for years 9 to 11. In year 9 we study Research Methods, Sex and Gender, Attachment and Phobias. In year 10 we study Obedience, Memory, Non Verbal Communication and Criminal Psychology. In year 11 we study Cognitive Development, Perception and The Self. GCSE Psychology is assessed by 3 examination papers at the end of year 11.
